I disagree that they are violent and coercive. What they are is well funded, and they pay others to be violent and coercive. Without their wealth they'd have no power, and their only source of wealth is the centralization that enables them to parasitize everyone that provides labor to produce goods and services. Across every field of industry today, decentralization of the means of production is the cutting edge of technological advance. The most advanced technology achieves the highest productivity, and this means that decentralization outcompetes centralization.

All we have to do to eliminate overlords is to adopt the table top tech most suitable to our personal circumstances, help our friends and neighbors to do it too, and keep more of our production for ourselves by not giving it to overlords. As the infrastructure of the new decentralized economy disperses across the population and people become more wealthy, overlords lose their parasitic stream of wealth - and the power they get from it. When they can't afford gangs of armed thugs anymore, and we become increasingly able to prevent violence and coercion against us because modern security technology is more effective than gangs of armed thugs, megalomaniacal psychopahts will be increasingly reduced to the wealth they can actually produce personally.

Then they'll just be peers. That's if they're tolerated by people they used to offend intolerably. If not, they'll be canceled, banished from society to languish and die if they can't scrounge a living from our discards.
