My understanding of a nation is that it is a people closely related and bound by a common culture. I think if the author meant 'country' or 'polity' when he said nation, I'd disagree with him less vehemently, but if he meant nation as I defined it above, I pretty strongly disagree.

He probably meant nation in the sense of a state.
An organized gang of men and women that force all others to pay and obey.
Coming from a place of mutual aid, I doubt he meant to break up any common cultures.
Well, there's a lot of folks using words in ways that make no sense to me besides this. A lot of people pointing out nefarious acts seek to dispel the accusation they are conspiracy theorists by noting public documentation of such evil acts and saying 'See, it's not a conspiracy, but proved.' What they really mean is it's not a theory. As an Autarch, I very much despise states and agree we should dispense with them. I find no rational or lawful basis for any states claim of authority over me. However, the definition of nation I used is something I do view the world by, and I also hesitate to speak for other autarchs. I can comfortably say we should, or could do this or that, but not that we believe, or are thus and so, anyway. It gets the hair up on the back of my neck when that's done to me, so I try not to do it.
