Life, particularly politics is a pendulum. It swings from one side to the other every so often. With the pendulum are extremes at the top of the arc and more of a normal centrist as it comes back down, but then sadly goes in the other direction as well.
This to say that we need to swing conservative for periods so that we can pause a bit on the changes so they don’t happen too rapidly.

Yes. Like a pendulum... Swinging is right movement. Resting in the same place or spot isn't good neither for those who are in the government or for the one that are being governed
