I've kept large supplies of things here always. If I had the money I bought bulk of the things we use because I never knew when we'd have money again. Hence 5 freezers that were often full, the pantry, and a root cellar. I don't have so much on hand these days, but I still buy in bulk.

I'm a big believer in bulk buys. I don't know why, Mum never did. Just seems to make ecomonc sense and I don't have to shop as much..
For me, who can't shop much now, it still makes sense, and often bulk is cheaper.
