Hate the Crime and the Criminals | A 5-Minute FreeWrite

How much can a dam hold without causing floods?
How much can a wall hold without breaking?
It depends on how much pressure it gets, how strong its foundation or structure is. It also depends on how exposed their cracks are and how soon somethign is done about it.
They can be reinforced, fixed or rebuilt or they can collapse.

Exposure is a key comcept, even though there is not worse blind than he who refuses to see.

Often times, the damage is seen when it is too late.
Hitler had his "night of broken glass," but it took invasions and a Holocaust to see the repercusions.

Stalin had his Holodomor, but that has not stopped his heir from attempting somethign even more effective.

Mao had his Cultural Revolution, certainly a Great Leap for his concept of humanity; a concept that has been perfected over the decades.

Pol Pot had his Killing Fields,Kim Il-sung his Juche, Fidel Castro and his heirs have had their G2, DSE, and CDRs; Saddam Hussein his al-Anfal, Idi Amin his SRB and PSU, Muammar Gaddafi his Third International Theory, Rafael Leonidas Trujillo his SIM, François "Papa Doc" Duvalier his Tonton Macoutes and the list goes on and on across continents.

No culture or race has been excepted from crimes against humanity and those who expose them usually pay a dire price. Not exposing them or turning a blind eye is worse though, especially in this Social Media Age. It is one of the things that guarantees that such crime will continue being committed. The other one being the humane treatment most criminals get so that they or their descendants do not feel so exposed.

The crimes and their perpetrators must be exposed and their accomplices punished, by the same measure.
