How do you save someone who loves being in captivity?

Nigeria has become one of the most expensive places to live in the world specifically because it has the highest number of inflation rate more than any country in the world.
In the past 3 years the current government has embezzled over 800 billion dollars of the country funds, natural resources and money.
They have increased tax in almost every sector to over 3000% increments and the worst of all, they've managed to pay people to shut the others up.
The country was one of the cheapest places to live in, about ten years ago. Now the inflation numbers is so bad that's it's even worse than places with active war problems or places that are regularly bombed.
The situation in most African countries
There's something about the average African, their government understands them psychologically.
Once you enable or bribe one African they shut their eyes and ears to the sufferings of other people to support the evil you're doing. This is why a lot of African countries makes it hard to adopt innovations that will literate their people financially.
You'd think some African countries are poor, but this isn't true. Imagine a government looting close to a trillion dollar worth of money, and still actively borrowing money from enablers like IMF and those rich world organizational bodies that enables African government by constantly borrowing their leaders money at a ridiculously high interest rate, because they understand that countries in Europe or some part of American would prefer to create their own wealth.
African leaders would rather borrow, they don't have interest in being called a world power, provided they can lace their pockets with unimaginable wealth, so much that their tenth generation can continue to enjoy that money.
They don't care about leaving any legacy or building a good system for their kids to inherit. This is the average mindset of 90% of African politicians. They have unquenchable thirst for money and power and don't even have the shame to look around them.
They don't care what other countries think of them or their fraudulent ways this is why they're mostly in liason with corrupt European countries to continue impoverishing their citizens at the expense of their own health. They do this powerfully by taking advantage of what I mentioned earlier; choosing a selected few from the population and giving them some part of this stolen wealth.
The golden rule in African countries is divide and conquer and once they empower a few minions then they can use these ones to cause great chaos and make sure they continue to stay in power. It's always worked since the 1800s when slave trade was rampant.
The mindset is enshrined in the mind of Nigerian politicians and they ensure to pass the government down to their children through godfatherism and selected nepotism.
Corruption is a disease
The people being ruled thinks they have an actual choice in who gets chosen only for them to discover that they already legitimize these people through selected tribalism, bigotry and religious discrimination.
People are slaves to religious and tribal tendencies and politicians takes advantage of this to divide the people who should be united in pushing them out of the corrupt positions they occupy.
This script always work, and funny enough the minority that already understands this are not enough. The majority are still enslave through their minds and heart and in 2026 you still don't understand why that mentality still remains rampant.
It's not education if you think it is. Nigerians and some Africans are some of the most educated people in the world but that school systems do not rid them of that nepotistic tendencies that should make them be literal enough to take back their country from corrupt people and the cycle of loot, inflation and corruption continues
corruption makes close a lot of eyes, i also thing one big issue of africa is the leaders, if they were all like sankara we would be talking all different of it

It sucks to see how horrible corruption is now. It just varies by how bad it is from country to country. I think Africa has it pretty horrible.
