Alleged Iranian spies arrested. I doubt that these are the only ones.

There are, as I’ve said in previous articles about the subject of Iran, hundreds of thousands of Iranian exiles or Iran/British dual passport holders living in the United Kingdom. Many of these are going to be genuine refugees escaping the horrific Islamic regime in Tehran and such people should rightly be given succour from a regime that has been a massive negative force in the world for nearly half a century. However it would be foolish to believe that this is the case for all Iranians living in the UK. A great number, we don’t rightly know just how many, of these Iranians may be regime agents waiting their time until they are activated by an instruction from Tehran.

Some of these activated sleeper cell agents of Iran in the UK may well be involved in espionage whilst others may be rabble rousers stirring up Muslims and Leftists in the UK to kick off violently over the issue of the war of liberation in Iran. Others of this cohort of Iranian agents may well be terrorists willing and able to carry out terrible attacks on Britain and its people. These Iranian agents could well be lying low, waiting to be activated by a message from a physical meeting, a text, or a phone call or a letter or a covert message from a numbers station on shortwave.

We could well have hundreds of Iranian agents on British soil either currently or likely to act in revenge upon the West for the Iran war and it may well be in Britain, with the agents ability to hide in our Islamic communities or in the wider community by posing as secularists, that they decide to strike.

I was thinking of this particular concern about the potential actions of Iranian sleeper agents when this story appeared on my news feed. It’s been revealed that four people, a mixture of Iranians and UK/Iranian dual citizens, have been arrested by counter terror officers and have been accused of being involved in a surveillance plot targeting Britain’s Jewish communities.

The BBC said:

Four people have been arrested as part of a counter-terrorism investigation relating to Iran, the Metropolitan Police has said.
Police arrested one Iranian and three dual British-Iranian nationals on suspicion of assisting a foreign intelligence service.
The investigation relates to the suspected surveillance of locations and individuals linked to Jewish communities in London, the Met said.
Commander Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing London, said the arrests were part of "a long-running investigation and part of our ongoing work to disrupt malign activity where we suspect it".

I don’t often say this, bearing in mind the utter and complete shitshow that the Metropolitan Police have become, but on this occasion I have to say ‘well done’ to the Met officers involved in this case.

I will not comment too much on this particular case for sub judice reasons and not wanting to prejudice any trial, but from what details have been released it seems as if this was might not be related to recent events in Iran but part of a much longer, older investigation that could have been going on prior to the current war against Iran starting. It may be only coincidence that these men were arrested at this time.

The BBC added:

A 40-year-old and a 55-year-old were arrested at addresses in Barnet, a 52-year-old in Watford and a 22-year-old in Harrow.
Searches remain ongoing in Watford, Barnet, and an address in Wembley.
The four men were detained under the National Security Act, which was introduced in 2023 to modernise counter spying laws, combating foreign interference.

This case will be exceedingly interesting if or when it comes to court.

On this occasion the Met may have been somewhat lucky but with the current possible up-tick in activity from Iranian agents the police are going to have to be lucky every time when it comes to thwarting Iranian espionage and possibly terrorist activity. The Iranians only need to be lucky once and on a big target to create carnage. Personally I’m not sure that the Met or other forces or even the Thames House lot have the ability to watch every extremist or every potential Iranian agent who may be resident, temporarily or permanently, in the UK. We already have 40,000 plus extremists, most of them jihadists, listed as persons of interest to the security services and it’s quite possible that although the identities of some of these Iranian sleeper agents may be known to the authorities, there might be many more who are to all intents and purposes totally invisible. These low profile agents could be employed seemingly integrated and not be Islamic gobshites or make any sort of comment that might bring them to the attention of the authorities. It is these sorts who might be slipping through the net.

We might get unlucky and find ourselves attacked yet again by Jihadism and attacked by those whom the police might have been totally unaware of.

We could be looking at a period of much greater terrorist activity, much greater targeting for abuse or worse by Muslims of Jews and others such as the Hindus and Sikhs either organically grown from with Islamic communities that can contain hostility towards these groups or which has been fomented by foreign agents. It’s probably wise then that we all pay a bit more attention to our surroundings and who is around us as there’s a strong likelihood in my view that the Iranian regime will, in its death throes, encourage some new horrors to manifest themselves on British streets.
