Kamala Harris Latest Interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
After the 2024 elections Kamala Harris lost she gave a speech, but it seems that was it, that was the last time anyone heard even a word from her.
I wonder if she spoke again since then but I just didn't get to see the speech, or something, but it seems she never said anything again. Plus I've come across several people talking about how she's never said anything since then, and how they've never heard from her either.
That is kinda sad. It seems she didn't take the loss that well, kinda like she's upset and not talking to America again because they did not vote for her.
I actually love Harris, and the Democratic party, but I'm more of an impartial observer nonetheless. From my impartial/objective observance I've noticed that their position makes the most sense and relies the most on logic, apart from their blind support for extreme LGBTQI positions. Emphasis on the word "extreme".
I'm all for LGBTQI rights, but I don't think trans women should compete in women sports, for example.
Further, I don't think Harris is wrong to be that disappointed in America either, Trump was too much of the wrong choice, it was kinda a shock he was even running not to talk of other people choosing him. LOL.
Trump was only good for bullish sentiments, and I guess that was all he needed, but so far he has been very controversial for the markets, not what anyone expected at all. And many who voted him are regretting.
I kinda digressed.
With this interview she has now come out to speak properly and extensively, seemingly for the first time since the election.
She has also published a book called 107 Days, which is about the shortest presidential campaign which she ran that lasted only 107 Days.
It was quite sad to see that the first time she's coming out to speak this extensively is now that she has a book to sell. It feels less like she wants to talk to the people and more like she wants to sell to the people and get some cash.
She also said something in the interview about how she is stepping backwards from running from any position in the meantime, and how she wants to go round the country meeting people on a normal basis rather than because she wants their votes. This sounded really sweet and selfless and all but it doesn't look like she wants to just meet people for selfless reasons, for goodness sakes she has a book to sell!
Going round and meeting people seems like it would only serve to promote her book and boost sales.
Furthermore, she was asked who the current leader of the Democratic party is and she said there isn't one leader and there isn't supposed to be, and I agree, and I think that is the case because she's supposed to be that leader but she didn't take up the mantle.
If after her loss she kept on speaking extensive and she stayed in the discussion about things, and spoke about issues she would have become that leader. Rather than going quiet. But I guess it's not really what she wants to do, and she should be left to do what she wants cos doing what you don't want to do can turn out tragic.
The End

Thank you!
I can understand why she distanced herself from the media after the elections. Trump's narrative resonated the most with the collective, I guess other than the fact that he had the backing of really influential and powerful figures like Elon Musk.
Realising a book about her presidential campaign would at least allow her to tell her side of the story, will try giving it a read if possible, maybe some nuggets are spread across the book lol.
