Nothing free will

Greetings!

One thing that I have got to know in this life is that there's nothing like free will. Like the saying goes, “ even in a free town, nothing is free.” So also in life, there's nothing free, not even our decision making. One thing is that, in this life we all belong to God who is our creator and not only that, we also belong to the government and that's why it would be kind of difficult for us as human to do according to what we wish for ourselves as we would always be checked and even punished for anything we contest contravenes the law of the land.

Like the saying goes, “there's no sin in a land where there's no law.” So, since there's a law in place in the land where we reside as humans, then there's nothing like freedom or free will and this is because of the fact that laws always bring about bondage.

Having talked so much about law and free will, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt in the Hive learners community which is all about, “Free will.”

In this life, there's nothing like free will and I can boldly say that we humans have no mind of our own, in fact, we are owned by the government or authority of the land. Although, we are first owned by our creator, The Almighty God and then by those who rule over us.

I have seen some people beating their chest and boasting that they own their lives and can do whatever they like with their lives, but the sad news that I have for these set of people is that, they have no control of their lives, if they should just do anything wrong even with their lives, maybe they attempted suicide, God forbid, that's when they would realise and known that there are authorities ruling over their free will.

At times, we humans always think that our actions are subjected to us alone, we think we can do things on our own without the influence of others and most especially the authorities, but one thing is that, there's nothing we do that would not have a consequence in the end. The consequence of our action may be good or bad is what would bring in those that authorised the law of the land to interfere in our affairs and by doing so, this would amount to us having no free will of our own.

Aside from that of the authority placed over us to interfere in our personal affairs, we must also know that in whatever we do in life, we are and would be accountable to our maker at the end of our lives, so, where is the free will we are now talking about, to me, there's no free will anywhere as we are all subjected to our creator and those that have been placed over us as administrators.

This is my entry to week 242, episode 02 of the weekly featured contest in the Hive learners community.

Thanks for reading.

I guess we all have different meanings of what free will is, depending on our understanding and point of view.

Personally, I still believe we have the free will to make certain decisions for ourselves. Just as you rightly pointed out, there are consequences to our actions, whether good or bad. I believe it is our free will that allows us to choose between doing what is right and what is wrong. So, I think the main point here is that free will comes with taking responsibility for our actions, whether we make the right or wrong choices.

It’s nice reading your perspective on this. Do have a lovely day:)
