RE: The art of shooting yourself in the Foot (Elon style)

The guy is obviously smart and driven, but has some issues. I don't follow him anywhere, so don't see what he says, but he has issues with his trans child and has associated with various extremists. The latter was an incentive for me to get off Twtr.

He has done a lot to drive take-up of EVs, but then is prone to bullshitting about his companies and has sacked people who raise safety issues. The US car culture is slow to adapt and fossil fuels have become a political issue despite the well known issues with them that will affect us all.

I think Musk has dug himself into a hole by aligning with people who don't match up with some of his views and has alienated a lot of potential customers. His attempts at humour tend to fall flat.

I really wonder if he is happy as he seems to struggle with relationships. Maybe he will get to Mars some day and enjoy that.
