How Political Toxicity Can Ruin A Nation's Progress

It is almost one and a half years, the students' revolution in Bangladesh which is also called the 'July Revolution Bangladesh' and often the revolution of the monsoon as it happended during the time of the rainy season of the monsoon, and Bangladesh had the rain of bloods in the street of Dhaka and almost everywhere in the country which started on 16 July from Rangpur district of Bangladesh and ended on 5th August which is termed as 36th July when the country has become free from the authoratian fascist regime of the country.

The country became free from the all kinds of suppression on the people from the fascist regime for around 20 years, is now going to an end. Actually, Bangladesh is facing such troubles from the 1971 when it got independent from the Pakistan, and but in 2024, it has crossed all the limits and reached to its peak. The country faced too many forced disappearance by the government law-enforcing agencies, and non-judicial killing were too much all around the country. But the common people were so fearful of their life that they remained silent throughout these decades.

But the time has come to the end of such a terrible situation, and it the people of Bangladesh started their full freedom and their freedom of speech has now become free again as there were so manu restriction previously with some black laws in the constitution imposed by the previous government. Bangladeshi people started enjoying their free speech and they have started criticizing almost every steps of the current interim government which has been formed after the fall of the previous fascist government.

But the problem starts when the dirty politics starts in the country with the absence of the previous ruling party. That ruling party has dominated the other political parties for two decades. For an example that I want to share is that almost 4 million cases have imposed on the opposition parties in last two decades. Also, more than 20 million people were accused in those cases. A 180 million people of a country has 20 million accused people that was the situation during the fascist rule.

But now almost all of those cases have been removed or dissolved as most of them were intentionally false accusations. And the killing of 1400 common people during the July revolution made the law-enforcing agencies weaker than ever because of their crimes. Many of them are now facing the trial for their killing. But the existing political parties are now in power that made them to have the similar characteristics that the deserted ruling party had in their previous government. And they also try to show the same attitude that they have already gained the power in the country, which is the result of the age-old tradition of the dirty polical activities for so many decades.

And the situation has become too much difficult when the interim government has announced the general election in next February to continue the democratic journey of Bangladesh. Because of the mix postion many regulations that interim govt. has asked to reform many bad laws in the constitution but the different political parties are now quarelling themselves at many points as each of them only want power and some rules that allign to their desire, but not for the betterment of the people of the country.

That's why a nation is suffering from this uncertainty after so a big revolution that lit up their hope for building a better nation after their large sacrifice. And the country is facing new problems on different issues for the dirty political games by these dishonest political parties of the country. And there is no good way to solve the issue but it seems to be very difficult for now. Everyday there are some street fights and often some bloodshed in the street of the country. It is also noticed that there are some collisions among the same party members regarding some illegal funds dividing issues which is really pathetic after such big revolution.

I hope the situation will disappear but the uncertainty is still dominating. The political narration needs time to grow a better sentiment among people, especially for the old generation but the good thing is that the young generation like my generation and the younger generations are so much aware of the situation and they can understand everything. Thanks to the abundance of the opportunities to flow the real information within seconds with the social medias including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Especially, Facebook and YouTube has been extensively dominating for building the new narrative in the country.
