Sisterhood, secrets & two tiny heartbeats – the girls who grew up with me

It's basically impossible to see my girls often...we're scattered all over the place, and meeting every weekend? Pfff… no chance! 😂 But that's exactly why, when we finally do manage to meet, it's like a full-on festival! Loud, messy, emotional, and yes...our laughs echo through the whole damn town. Probably even into the next one 😉

I already wrote once about my 4 girls...my soul sisters since kindergarten. I love them to the moon and back and every time we meet, it's like being thrown into a time machine. Everything suddenly feels so simple again… Just beautiful memories and even more beautiful moments we're still creating.

Okay yeah, maybe we look different now (adulting and all that), but deep inside? Still the same. Same jokes, same madness, same “what-the-hell-are-we-doing” pranks. We all grew up...different jobs, different lives...and yet we still vibe like we’re 10 years old on a sugar high. Even our baby doctor (who btw, acts the craziest) is insanely smart. Don’t let the madness fool you. 😂

So now it was finally time again to gather… and for a big reason! 🎉

Quick note: they know I write a lot. So when we took photos, they were already threatening me: “If you post them, PLEASE pick ones where we look normal and not like escaped lunatics.” And I was like... really? Have we ever taken a “normal” photo where we all look even almost human? 😂 Not happening, girls. Not now, not ever. 😉

Anywayyy… our Miša got married in July! 💍 But she went full ninja bride, got married alone, no guests, just her and hubby. Pfff, rude 😂 So of course, we said: “We still need to celebrate you, woman!” Bachelorette party? Bit late. So we invented our own thing: Wify party 😄

Also... she is already 6 months pregnant! 🎉 So we decided to keep it chill, just us five, indoors, no crazy music, just food and endless talking. You know... our way 💕

So I was like, “Okay, I’ll do food, just tell me what you want!” And then Miša (a.k.a. Preggo Queen #1) starts listing everything she can’t eat. And drink. And look at. I was like, “Ummm... Miša... I don’t have a PhD in feeding pregnant women, help me out here! 😅” But hey, we still pulled off a pretty awesome menu.

Then I called my other friend to ask about wine...she’s a wine connoisseur. 🍷 But then she goes, “Uhhh, actually... I won’t drink.” And I was like… “Wait WHAT?! You didn’t drink on my birthday either. Are YOU pregnant too?!” Because listen… this girl was once a full-blown party animal. Like, drink-vomit-repeat kind of energy. 😂 So I was instantly suspicious.

Then came the silence… and the truth: “Yeah... I’m pregnant too.”

I SCREAMED. I JUMPED. I DIED. And came back to life. TWO BABIES ON THE WAY?! 😍 She was like, “You're only the second person I’ve told...” And I was like, “LUUUU really?! OMG I finally know something first?! I’m honored!!” 😂

But also I told her...girl, you have to tell the others. No one will believe you’re skipping wine because you “don’t feel like it.” Please. We know you. 😉

So she told me to drop the baby bomb at our gathering. I was like, okay… I’ll shut up. (Barely survived a week holding it in, btw 🙃)

The big day came! I showed up with beers, another friend brought wine. After group hugs and belly talks with Miša’s future baby, we sat down to toast. Water for the pregnant girls, beer for me and Sanja, wine for our Sara. All normal. Until... the spotlight hit Lu. WATER? Again?! 🤨

And then...BOOM...she told them. Baby on the way!

Sara (already mom of two) screamed like she just won the lottery: “FINALLY!!! I’m not the only mom anymore!!” 😂 She was ecstatic. “Two babies in the group?! YESSS!” Honestly, I think she was mostly happy someone else would now also understand the beauty of sleepless nights and baby puke. 😅

Our little gang is really growing, and I couldn’t be prouder. My girls, my beautiful women, building dreams and making tiny humans. 🥹💕

Me and Sanja instantly appointed ourselves Future Best Aunties Ever™. Sara’s kids already love us, so next mission...aunt goals for two new little ones 💪😉

We were all floating on baby joy. Meanwhile, poor Lu’s husband looked like he was two minutes from running away. 😂 I mean... we are loud. Like, “scare the neighbors” loud. And Emma, Miša’s dog? She looked at us like, “Y’all okay? Should I bark? Call backup?!” 😂 So Lu’s husband wisely took Emma for a walk. Probably the only way he could breathe actual air and not girl-screams. 😂

Oh, and little backstory. Miša found Emma in a shelter in Romania. First time she brought her to us, Emma was so shy and scared… and now? A happy little tornado with four paws. Although she still looks at us like, “Are these people screaming because they’re in danger… or just nuts?” Emma, honey… it’s the second one 😄

Spending time with my girls? Always recharges me. They’re so smart, so inspiring, so full of life. I’m beyond grateful to have them. And now, with two babies on the way...we’re only getting louder, messier, and even more full of love 💕

Also… we need a baby girl. Sara has two boys and she’s thinking about a third… but girl, are you sure?! What if it’s boy #3? 😅 Either way, I love my crew. They’re my sunshine on the darkest days, my rescue squad, my therapists, my comedians. We just get each other.

So yeah… girls forever. And soon? Babies too. 💕👶
