Nor does it safeguard our rights, only the willingness to kill to keep them does that.
Oh, I think we have a whole lot more means to safeguard us. Killing is the last resort, I think.
That is hard to tell from what the flashylight box is showing me.
Lots of folks out there using violence to kill people.
Of course, those folks don't generally get within arms reach of me.
Keeping them out of kicking distance is one of the ways we prevent them oppressing us.
Regardless of scribbles on paper, we are inherently sovereign, always have been, and always will be. Nothing we can do can render us property, not even our own property, because we cannot relinquish our sole authority to will ourselves to act, neither by compulsion nor volition.
