A good couple of days for the Green Party, and the other one±
So it's a pretty radical shift in UK politics this week...
With Reform gaining over 1400 seats and the Greens gaining over 300, with MASSIVE losses for Labour and also big losses for the conservatives

I guess these results show us just how pissed off these local populations are with Labour's performance and how much they still don't trust the Tories...
And I guess the Reform vote shows us just how much hate there is in those areas that voted for them. I mean surely it's got to be the immigration issue that's driven this, but what I don't get is why people believe Reform is going to work for them,....
Sure maybe we do need to bring immigration under control but besides this one issue where Reform may work for the poor people who voted for them, but in every other way Reform is just right wing politics - which is not for the poor!
At least the Greens offer some kind of general hope, not a politics of division, and they're no less clueless than Reform about national politics.
Sure some of their policies need a little work - defence especially and also migration, maybe they overdo it with welfare, possibly leading into welfare dependency - but at least they seem to genuinely care for people and planet.
Maybe that's why theyre not as popular as Reform, people in general just don't give a shit about anyone but themselves, years of austerity will do that for you!

Just as with MAGA, the hate is the feature. For a significant subset of humanity, having the other put down is more important than having themselves lifted up.
Depressing but you're probably right!
Rich people ran the world before the selections, it runs the world after the selections, too.
The out is for us to turn our backs on them and alter the common definition of rich.
Since we can't vote our way out of tyranny, we should probably prepare a response for those that want to kill to stay in power.
Definitely migration because it is uncontrolled and not sustainable. Nothing wrong with migration done the legal way.
Illegal immigration harms this country, they give nothing to this country, they just suck the life blood from the system, both the tories and the neo marxists clowns have had their chance. i think the fools in the green party will be gettting all giddy at their results, but the deluded clowns fail to realise that it is just a protest vote by liebor voters.
How do the Greens' gains translate to actual policy influence with just 668 councillors?
Well done to the Greens. At least they offer hope whilst Con-form (Tories in a nasty disguise) spread division. Of course I'm disappointed in Starmer for not delivering. That has enabled the extremists.
Migration is a hard problem, especially when life is so hard in some places. Of course it would be easier to negotiate with the rest of Europe if we had not gone our own way. Hasn't that worked out great?
