It's somewhat of an ongoing challenge to persuade people that it's okay to discuss politics on Hive, and okay to disagree.

I'm almost always more likely to learn something interesting or of substance in discussion with someone who disagrees with me.

If all we ever here is things we agree with, we can be led down the primrose path, but you can't tell that to people edumacated by the united snakes, they will not hear it.

I've thought about this some, I homeschooled myself after the 9th grade, but I'm from a family of readers.

Yeah, my mom got me started early, too.
I'd read 1984 by the age of 11.
She told me about BNW, but I don't remember finding a copy to read until much later.
I became an anarchist in 1985.
But, it all didn't really start coming together until alex jones on coasttocoastam in 2004.

They don't have to burn books when nobody reads them.™

Any one of those books could give people most of the concepts that make crapitalism obsolete, but like the mantra says, people don't read.

There's nothing more boring to a blogger than a comment board full of people in agreement. Sure you may within the first few comments get some good giggles off some stabs to the other side, but it wears off quickly as it goes on and there's no counterpoints.
