RE: Canada Prime Minister say some ugly truths

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

As a Canadian, I don't enjoy the way Carney has been running our country, so I would take his words with a grain of salt! 😅 I don't pay enough attention to politics, but since he took office, the price of food has gone up by at least 30% -- bacon that was once $6/pack one year ago, is now $10.

I personally wish he would have done more in negotiating the tariffs with Trump, but I don't think he did because I believe this is part of the plan: blame everything on Trump! And yes, MANY Canadians suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, and it's terrible to watch everyone follow the monkey and blame Trump, as opposed to placing blame on our own incompetent leaders 😩

Obviously I don't have a background about the internal situation of Canada, but in external policy apparently Canada will have (or will seek) more impact and presence. This mean more trade agreements and diversification and more political protagonism in international organizations.

Hopefully that trade diversification will make the prices drop in the internal market.
