Getting rid of fake pastors. How do we identify them?

So one day, the governor of one of the Eastern states of Nigeria, Anambra, said he wanted to rid the state of fake pastors.

"Fake pastors?"

"How are you going to identify them?"

"Please, the crackdown shouldn't focus only on the low-level fake pastors alone; the law should also go after the top fake pastors."

"No matter what is done, Pastor Odumeje shouldn't be touched."

People raised their concerns. While some of the concerns were laughable, such as not wanting Pastor Odumeje (a very famous and comic pastor in Nigeria) to be touched, some of them were very valid, such as asking how the government was going to identify the fake pastors in the state.

Come to think of it, the law is quite laughable, especially when you consider how they intend to identify the fake pastors. I guess they are going to summon all the pastors in the state and tell them to heal genuinely sick people under the watchful eyes of everyone, rather than performing the "arranged" miracles they often stage during their crusades and church services.

I fully support this move, but I know it's not going to be easy because a lot of pastors, as well as people in the state who have been blindfolded by the "jazz" of these pastors, will oppose the action, defend their pastors, and claim that it is a mockery of Christianity. Meanwhile, these people know that Jesus Christ, whom these pastors claim to be core followers, performed real miracles in the sight of everyone.

Guess what?
What prompted me to write this was what I saw in the news yesterday. Some pastors have been arrested in the said state already.
We are yet to know how they got to arrest them. Let's wait and see what the government has to say.

Thanks for reading.
