SEC Approved Spot Ethereum ETFs for Trading
Ethereum ETF has been in the news for quite some as the partial approval was done by the Security and Exchange Commission. 19b-4 was approved first and now the SEC has approved Grayscale, ProShares Spot Ethereum ETFs for Trading on NYSE Arca. Its big news as now its all set to start the ETF trading from 23rd July. After Bitcoin ETF, ethereum is another big spot ETF in the crypto market and this will open the door for more institutional investors.
Biggest Indian Exchange WazirX Hacked for $230 Million
Its a bad day for the Indian crypto community as the Wazirx crypto exchange has been compromised for $230 Million. As per the latest proof of reserve report, the exchange had approximately $550 million crypto balance and hackers have stolen $230 million from their multi-sig wallet. This is a big news in the Indian crypto market today and it may negatively affect the Indian crypto industry. Exchange has already shared the official update through their X channel. They are trying to recover the funds but till now there is no good news.
