Crazy Thought During a Government Shutdown
If politicians can’t do their jobs and “the government shuts down,” then guess what? They become non-essential.
From 50 Secret Service agents down to one Uber driver with a pepper spray keychain.
Paycheck? Frozen until they actually pass something besides gas on the Senate floor.
Same rules as the rest of us: miss your numbers, miss your deadlines — you’re fired. Period.
But here’s the comedy: if I fail at my job, I’m out on the street. If they fail at theirs? They get reelected, write a memoir nobody reads, land a Netflix special, and if they’re really good at screwing up — they might even become President.
If they fail their jobs, they shouldn’t get special treatment, 50 bodyguards, or guaranteed paychecks. Equality means the same rules for everyone — including them.
So, what do you think — is that fair? Or are politicians somehow still “too important” to play by the rules like the rest of us?
