Financiers are Betting on Russia šŸ”„

As for the news that the US has stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine, you can read about that without me.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg (remember, this is the mouthpiece of the Democratic Party, opponents of Trump, and notorious Russophobes) reports that Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and a number of other banks are advising their clients to invest in financial instruments tied to Russia.

Yes, yes, I understand that for their clients, this is not a long-term investment but rather a kind of fun speculation: like, while the news is buzzing about Russia's strengthening, let's try to profit from the ruble's rise.

Just think about how this sounds to their clients: "How about investing in the currency of a country that mainstream media has been vilifying and painting as absolute evil for 3 years (actually, longer)?" And I’m more than sure their clients are like, "Hmm, why not?" šŸ¤”

Among the instruments Goldman and JPMorgan are offering are ruble derivative contracts, which allow speculating on the ruble's exchange rate without violating sanctions.

This is done through non-deliverable forwards (NDFs), which enable their clients to profit from the ruble's rise!

The massive renewal of investor interest in Russian assets is taking place against the backdrop of a possible easing of sanctions against Russia and a warming of relations between Russia and the United States
I’ll remind you that the ruble has surged by 20% since the beginning of the year—more than any other currency in the world! The key thing to understand here is that due to the ban on direct dealings with the Russian currency, these instruments have become a legal alternative for Western investors.

This is also due to the fact that Europe has bought more oil and gas from Russia over the past year than it spent on Ukraine during almost the entire special military operation.

Moreover! Only Western investors have to go through such contortions with all sorts of derivatives. Financial bigwigs in the Middle East are much more at ease, buying up Russian corporate bonds in bulk.

According to a Bloomberg source, the most in-demand assets are dollar and euro bonds from Russian companies like Gazprom and Lukoil. Some of their clients, who recently considered these securities almost worthless, are now rushing to buy them before prices rise.

Interestingly, shortly before Trump's call to Putin, Goldman was already recommending clients to go long on the Kazakh tenge.

As Crimson writes:

"Goldman is recommending the tenge because their clients don’t have access to the ruble. The ruble, in this sense (if you look purely short-term), has an advantage: the ruble's interest rate is higher (21% > 14%), but at the same time, I’m not so sure that there are as few speculators betting on the ruble's rise against the dollar as there are in the tenge."

Don’t pay attention to what they say, watch where they put their money...

...And the money is going to Russia!

Against the backdrop of the rapid rise of the Russian currency, the unstable policy of Trump towards the rest of the world represents a real threat to the role of the US dollar as the central currency in the global economy over the past five decades, stated former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers in an interview with Bloomberg (see second paragraph).

Moreover, the sell-off of stocks in the US at the beginning of this week may be evidence of investors' concerns about the direction of the new US administration's policy.

šŸ’Cherry, the European Central Bank has once again lowered its growth outlook for the European economy: the EU economy is expected to grow by 0.9% in 2025, instead of the previously projected 1.2%.

"The economy continues to face challenges... The downward revision reflects a decline in exports and an ongoing slump in investments, partly driven by high uncertainty in trade policy, as well as broader geopolitical uncertainty,"

Hi There, glad to read from you again!
I have one question: I did a series of photographs about death and pseudo-heroism... I would like to title those 19 pictures with names of fallen soldiers, maybe also their call-names, and the 'hero'-sentences/obituaries that are written on their graves (or in the news) after their death.
Do you think you could find me those 19 titles? Best would be in Ukrainian/Russian, and translated to English. The 20th picture is a mass garve, so tthat word in Ukrainian/Russian also woul be great.

You could help me there making a statement about the senselessness of sending people to their deaths, just for the comfort of one (coke head)....

Hi. I'm also glad to meet you in the vastness of the internet!

Regarding the link to the meaninglessness of what's happening, you can refer to any of my posts or conversations with opponents. Knowing my point of view, I'm not entirely sure what kind of statement would satisfy you. As for me, the meaninglessness of what's happening is as clear as two plus two to any sane person.

Regarding deaths, it's a very sensitive topic. Karmically responsible!
I can give you some tips on how to google certain information you're interested in.
Obituaries are available in the public domain, and it's best to search for them on social networks, where there's also a built-in translator.

You won't find photos with any object symbolizing mass graves! Such things either happen secretly, without marking the location, or the bodies are collected for exchange.
You can find photos of rows of graves with unidentified remains, marked with numbers of genetic material samples collected in advance for subsequent identification.

This is a very sensitive topic, in the sense that not all the deceased held aggressive views. All the ideologically driven ones are long gone, and now it's just ordinary guys who couldn't come up with $1000 to bribe the military commissar. Those who were forced to risk going to work and were caught on the way and forcibly mobilized.

For the third year, my family has been spared the grief of this war, despite the accompanying discomforts. And that's exactly why I try to stay away from philosophizing on such topics.

Often, not everything is clear-cut, except for the fact that a drug addict should never have allowed such a thing! It's simply not his decision, nothing depends on him. We were never sovereign.

Good to read from you!

I think you mis-understood a bit; I have all this photos, it is all flies I killed because the disturbed my sleep. For the last photo I put them all together; this is the mass-grave... so I do not need any pictures, only titles.

I do not want to be negativ about the people who were send to fight and die; I want to be critical about the people who made the decisions to send them.
I want to be critical about people/soldiers being used for cannonfodder, and when they are dead they are heroes. This is so wrong.
This is why I want to title my photos of the flies in this pseudo-heroic manner, with the names of fallen soldiers (like for example "Oleg, call name "Panther", died while heroically defending XXXX")

I was searching for obituaries in the public domain, but for me it was impossible to find ones from Ukraine... and I think it would be fitting if it was from Ukrainians. That's maybe were you could help me.

Dear @vp-freelance ,
thanks for your help, and thanks especially for stating that you don't think it's a brilliant idea. That made me reconsider; I do not want to make big statements from the outside, not being really involved. So I will tone down on the titles, leave the references to war and call it simply "Kollateral"; and thus also leave it to the audienced to interpret the series.

Thanks again for the criticism! And I wish you that all the unsettlement will come to an end soon.
best regards
Klaus

I am increasingly visited by the thought that with the recognition of the truth by an whale increasing number of media, it is time to write a post about censorship on the hive.
For example, in the case when a good journalist was kicked out of the hive for an unpopular side of the coverage of events at that time.
maybe you remember @patricklancaster
now hi successfully generates contents to other platforms...
surely he is not the only one.
And we are all waiting for the hivecoin to grow))) But any potential investor, or creators, who does not stand out in face we will kick away with pissed rags...🦵

I had a discussion with the hiver who destroyed patrick lancaster, and I tell you, it is of no use talking to those whales. I have zero hopes for Hive, unfortunately it is no better than the West out there ;)

Do you mean pfunk?
This will be a post about hive and the people present here, and not an attempt to reason with specific Russophobes.
And yes you are right, this is why hive has no futurešŸ˜”
