Getting Political
I realize this blog of mine has turned very political lately, but I can't help it. There are so many things happening on the daily, so many things that affect either me or people I love, that not being informed seems just irresponsible.
All that said, I was happily surprised to know that I've been accumulating a particular token all along, and as of me writing this entry, I'm a dolphin of the $VOTE token.
Far fetched?
With the obvious censorship issues legacy social media continues to have, a project like http://politicalhive.org not only makes sense, but seems rather needed.
To me the possibility of this community thriving of it becoming a place were dissenters of public opinion are allowed to express themselves, to question and to present unique controversial takes, doesn't sound far fetched at all.
At any rate
I setup some buys on the market for the token, and fully intend to grow the account to have a nice fat vote. It feels quite right to support more people who are taking on this task, on the not so remunerating path of getting political, of risking being divisive.
But hey, I should not end this entry without stating the fact that this is not meant to be financial advice here. I'm just sharing what I'm doing, that's all.

On the @politcalhive I periodically vote for content, regardless of whether I agree with the author's politics, opinions, or analysis. My primary metric for value is did the author make a moderately good effort to create well-reasoned and well-articulated political or civic-oriented content.
The goal is to have a censorship-resistant forum for political content where the participants are doing their own reasoning.
I intend to do the same... we can't be having echo chambers everywhere it helps nobody

That's true and I would even say that it's getting more difficult to getting a balanced way to get information. With heads of states letting out one nonsense after the other, it's difficult to differentiate truth from propaganda. Very few people take the time to try to look at an issue from different perspectives and build an educated opinion...
